Design Contest: Pitch your designs for the limited edition Peachy Pear seasonal cider.
Working with a wide open brief, I opted to maintain the local, sustainable and community-focused brand values by crafting a label centered around the heritage and home grown nature of the brand.
APPROACH
My design was selected to become the face of the new limited edition Peachy Pear cider. Following the success of this product, I was enlisted as a freelance designer to develop other select labels, along with tap handles for their Caledon location. This success not only marked a personal achievement but also sparked a keen interest in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) packaging design.
RESULT





PROCESS
In maintaining the brand's values, I opted for a design based around the heritage look and feel, using a medallion to highlight their 10 years of locally grown products. The colour palette, bright and warm is inspired both by springtime — the season for which this seasonal cider is available, and by the drink's primary ingredients: Peach, pear and apple.
The retro typeface, Windsor, compliments the homegrown nature with its soft serifs and rounded style.
